I am a native New Yorker who lived in a rent stabilized apartment in Manhattan for almost thirty years.  After I moved to Santa Fe in 2019, I was a half year resident, spending much of the rest of the year volunteering in National Parks—Great Sand Dunes and Joshua Tree were my most recent parks.  After adopting Scamp, a one-year-old boxer, I retired my Airstream and am now permanently live here in the same little over the garage apartment I first rented in 2019.  My landlady Gabby has made living here affordable for me and I don’t think I could be here without her kindness and reasonable rent! I am a registered nurse, with a master’s degree in psychiatric nursing, and returned to school for a Ph.D. in Anthropology.  My research has been in Brazil studying spirit possession religions.  My work background has been primarily in academia, teaching psychiatric and community health nursing.  Happily retired now, I am loving hiking and volunteering here in Santa Fe.
